Fair concert tickets break record
   The 2010 Great Jones County Fair is set for July 21–25 and promises to entertain visitors with a large variety of musical acts and fun games for all ages.
 
     This year's entertainment will feature an evening with Lady Antebellum on Thursday, July 22; Alan Jackson Friday, July 25; Styx, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Grand Funk Railroad on Saturday, July 24.

    In addition to great entertainment, some fair traditions include harness racing, as well as stock car races and a demolition derby. In addition, there is a truck and tractor pull, so bring your earplugs.

    The midway is crowded with rides, from the Ferris wheel to the merry-go-round. There are a lot of tests of skill on the midway where you can win prizes.

    And don't forget this is a Food Festival as well. Some of the best vendors set up and serve you funnel cakes, tenderloins, fresh lemonade, kettle corn, and more. All of the great tastes and smells you associate with the fair.
If the food doesn't entice you, all five nights of the fair there is a drawing for either cash or prizes. This year’s destinations for trip give-aways include: Las Vegas, Seattle, London, Tampa and Mesa.
