William (Dick) Richard Carter Feb. 21, 1938 – Jan. 10, 2017

      William R. Carter of Anamosa, better known as Dick, passed away on Jan. 10, 2017 unexpectedly. Graveside services are pending. His final resting place will be Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello.

      Dick was born Feb. 21, 1938. He married Ramona Wells in 1976. They first lived in Monticello for a few years before moving and settling in Davenport for the majority of their marriage. Their last move was to Anamosa where Dick lived out his life.

      He is survived by his wife Ramona, his daughter Patricia Carter and step children Patricia Wells, Michael Wells, Melinda Owen, George Wells and Debbie Wells, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by both adopted parents.
