A benefit for Laurie Valentine was held at the Berndes Center in Monticello on Feb. 11. Valentine, who has worked at the Monticello Fareway Store for over 20 years, is undergoing treatment for bone and liver cancer. The event included food, a bake sale, and a silent auction.
