Theisen’s gives old denim a new purpose

Theisen’s Home•Farm•Auto has partnered with “Blue Jeans Go Green,” a denim recycling program. Customers can recycle any type of denim apparel, no matter the condition. In return, the customer gets a coupon to purchase new denim.

The collected denim is upcycled and turned into UltraTough Denim Insulation, providing a portion of the insulation to communities in need. Organizations who have used this insulation include Habitat for Humanity Homes. Denim insulation totaling 2,700,999 square feet has been manufactured. Additionally, this program has kept 750 tons of denim out of landfills.

Theisen’s goal is to collect 3,500 denim items.
