Starlighters hosts third annual Valentine’s Concert

     On Sunday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Starlighters II Theatre, the third annual Valentine’s Concert will be performed.

     The box office will open the week prior to the show, Feb. 4 through 8 from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets will be available at the door on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. Prices are $5 per person; seating is general admission.

     The Starlighters’ building opens at 1 p.m.; doors to the auditorium at 1:30 p.m.

     There is no reserved seating for this show, except for handicapped accessibility needs.

     Valentine desserts will be served during intermission.

     The theme for this year’s Valentine’s Concert is “Love Songs Through the Ages.” David Marshall is the director, as well as a performer. The cast of singers is: Janette Beardsley who will sing “That’s All,” “When I Fall in Love,” and “It Had to Be You” as a duet with Steve Wendl.

     Wendl will also sing a duet, “You’ve Got a Friend,” with David Marshall. In addition, Wendl will be singing “Per Te,” “In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning,” and “Mood Glow.”

     Marshall will sing “All of Me” and “Chances Are.”

     Rebecca Vernon will be singing several selections.

     Kevin Sims will bring us “My Girl” and a duet with Mary Sue Vernon, “Endless Love.”

     Mary Sue Vernon and David Marshall will sing “I Got You Babe.” Vernon will also sing “Misty” and “Blue Bayou.”

     Samantha Miller will be singing “Traveling Soldier” and a duet with David Marshall, “True Colors.”

     To fill out the performance, there will be a few “sing-along” songs for the audience to sing with the performers.
