Almost Famous Dance Studio held its annual Spring Recital at Western Dubuque Auditorium in Epworth during the month of June.

The theme was, “Dancing thru the Decades.”

“It was an absolute blast getting to see the kids dance to different songs from all different eras, and to see them play their part in our show,” said Amanda Hackney, who co-directs the students along with Melissa Ehrisman. “It was such a humbling experience.”

A pair of $150 scholarships were offered for students who wrote an essay entitled “Why They Love Almost Famous.” Monticello’s winner was Allie Riches, and Victoria Bettcher was the winner for the Farley studio.

Almost Famous is taking registrations for its 2017-18 season through the month of August. For information, contact the studio at almostfamousdance@gmail.com, or 319-465-4111. Or, check out its website, www.almostfamousdancestudio.com.
