PMCI Cent-A-Gallon benefits Camp Courageous

The Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores of Iowa (PMCI) are hosting their 38th Annual Cent-A-Gallon Day for Camp Courageous on the day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, Nov. 21. One cent of each gallon of petroleum product sold on this day by participating marketers and convenience stores will benefit Camp Courageous. Posters will be displayed in the windows of those participating.

Cent-A-Gallon is held the day before Thanksgiving as a way to give thanks in the spirit of Thanksgiving. According to Charlie Becker, Camp Courageous’ CEO, “The day before Thanksgiving was chosen 38 years ago because both Camp Courageous and the PMCI felt we have an awful lot to be thankful for, and it was the perfect time to give thanks for all our blessings.” PMCI encourages all to give thanks this Thanksgiving by filling up with gas at their local convenience store to help individuals with special needs served at Camp Courageous.
