BOYS TRACK

     Monticello honored members of its high school boys track and field team during its annual awards gathering Sunday, June 4 at Dean Nelson Field.

     Individual awards were presented to seven members of the Panther team that finished fourth in the Class 2A State Qualifying Meet, fifth in the River Valley Conference Meet, and qualified nine entries to State.

     Among the award-winners:

     • Most Valuable – Tyler Hospodarsky, senior.

     • Most Improved – Andy Tjaden, senior.

     • Best Distance Runner – Aaron Loes, junior.

     • Best Sprinter – Max Keleher, junior.

     • Best Field Event Performer – Avery Martensen, sophomore.

     • Best Freshman – Cole Cruise.

     • Panther Pride Award – Taylor Manternach, senior.

     • Commitment Club – Tyler Hospodarsky, senior.

     The Panthers are coached by Greg Williams and Donnie Kremer.
