Moving day

Monday morning, Dec. 10 a house that once sat in Dyersville could be seen moving to its permanent location on S. Cedar Street. A pervious attempt was made to move the house in October, but equipment failure prevented the completion of the move. The house is owned by Steve Intlekofer. After the initial attempt, the house sat on a flatbed in the parking lot of Naylor Bag Supply for over a month. During the Dec. 3 Monticello City Council meeting, the council approved assessing Intlekofer $100 a day if the house was not removed by Dec. 21.  (Photo by Kim Brooks)
