Moser has 10 champions, 68 in top 10 at nationals

POWER TUMBLING

     Moser School of Dance and Gymnastics competed in the 2017 USTA Power Tumbling National Championships June 20-24 in Madison, Wis.

     The Moser school had 125 National Qualifiers entered, and 10 of those earned first place national championship titles and 68 Moser students earned top 10 titles. Many ages/levels had as many as 70 total competitors.

     Moser’s national champions are Logan Bevans, Madison Butterworth, Adysen Frieden, Alaina Mead, Tenley Bormann, Kylie Belinsky, Kaleah Belinsky, Tucker Erickson, Laura Pierschbacher, Aaliyah Rosenthal.

     Moser’s trophy-winners follow.

     First place: Logan Bevans, Madison Butterworth, Adysen Frieden, Alaina Mead, Tenley Bormann, Kylie Belinsky, Kaleah Belinsky, Tucker Erickson, Laura Pierschbacher and Aaliyah Roasenthal.

     Second place: Paige Kremer, Libby Knipper, Keely Recker, Natalie Ries, Kaia Engelhardt and Adalyn Fette.

     Third place: Hannabelle Erickson, Alivia Sweeney, Memphis Voelker, Gabrielle Guilford, Taylor Mullis, Kennedi Bevans, Kyle Peck, Ruby Dolan, Ava Oberbroeckling and Avery Fette.

     Fourth place: Sophia Geistkemper, Brian Kammiller, Maddesyn Demmer, Karsyn Nichol, Alexa Ries, Addison Norton, Hannah Seevell, Taylor Dean and Madilyn Payne.

     Fifth place: Katie Fitzgerald, Rachel Everman, Claire Cahalan and Memphis Peyton.

     Sixth place: Avery Sweeney, Madelyn Schmitz, Kaydence Ahart, Maya Pierce and Allysa Sadewasser.

     Seventh place: Carter Phillips, Katelin Ante, Isabel Lutgen, Madeline Martin, Ella Davidshofer, Starrlynn Brockob, Gracie Hillebrand, Brody Ries and Mya Ortner.

     Eighth place: Ella Recker, Melanie Lutgen, Kennedy Bulman, Elizabeth Recker, Madison O’Hea, Kalyssa Reimer and Julia Kuennen.

     Ninth place: Katelyn Mangold, Megan Pierschbacher, Ava Nolan, Georgia Werger, Lainey Payne and Emma Fisher.

     Tenth place: Brooklin Ante and Whitney Long.

     Two advanced level Moser athletes competed in prelims and qualified for finals. Carter Phillips placed seventh, and Katelyn Mangold finished ninth.

     “We are truly excited about our athletes’ performances at the national level of competition,” said Debbie Moser, one of the team’s coaches. “They all did fabulous and we are so very proud of each and everyone of our students for their dedication, hard work, sportsmanship, and loyalty to our school and to the sport. We appreciate all our athletes, parents, and grandparents for their support and dedication to their children and to our school.”

     Next year’s USTA Power Tumbling State Championships will be Sunday, April 22, 2018 and the USTA National Championships will be held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. June 12-16, 2018.

     Moser’s area winners take classes each September thru May in Monticello, Manchester, Dyersville, Independence, Strawberry Point, Clermont, Elkader, Guttenberg and Edgewood.
