The Monticello Middle School recently concluded their annual fundraiser of selling Monticello Express subscriptions. Both classes (seventh and eighth graders) had a successful campaign. The seventh graders earned $630 for their class, and the eighth graders earned $489 for their class. A total of 370 subscriptions were sold with 75 being new subscribers. Commissions from their sales help offset their class fieldtrip expenses.

Top sellers this year and their winnings were Preston Ries, $287; Kyler Husmann, $178; and Gavin Kahler, $92. Ries sold 29 subscriptions; Husmann sold 26; and Kahler sold 14. Ries’ 29 subscriptions sold is the second highest since Nate Zirkelbach’s 35 in 2006.
