Logan L. Rickels Aug. 20, 1997 – Dec. 28, 2018

      Logan L. Rickels, 21, of Scotch Grove died suddenly on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018. Visitation was held 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello.  Burial will be at a later date.

      Logan was born Aug. 20, 1997, the son of Jason and Tonia (Stimpson) Rickels.  He graduated from Anamosa High School with the Class of 2016, and began working at Family Foods in Anamosa.  He was currently employed at Don Stickles Livestock. Logan was known for his goofy laugh and infectious smile.  He could always get a laugh from those he met.

      Surviving are his father, Jason Rickels (Lorresa Flattem) of Scotch Grove, his mother, Tonia (Tony) Moeller of Marion, two brothers: Mitchelle (Riley Troester) of Anamosa and Aydan Rickels of Scotch Grove; step siblings: Colton Craig of Monticello, Alexa and Anthony Flattem of Scotch Grove; maternal grandparents, Denise and Clint Phillips of Anamosa and George Stimpson of Anamosa; great-grandmother, Judy Phillips of Anamosa, his step-mother, Stephania Sauer of Preston, a good friend, Hunter Leitz of Monticello; aunts and uncles: Brian Rickels, Jeremy (JoLee) Rickels, Lisa Barta and Brandon (fiancé MacKenzie Cooper) Stimpson, and 10 close cousins.

      He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Delmar Phillips, paternal great-grandparents, Cliff and Gladys Wears and Art and Dorothea Rickels, paternal grandparents, Larry and Paula Rickels.
