Lions Club fights diabetes

Julie Guthrie spoke at a recent Monticello Lions Club meeting about diabetes detection and prevention, earning the club’s prized coffee mug from Club President Bruce Smith. Lions clubs started a new worldwide initiative against diabetes, and Guthrie is a diabetes educator at Jones Regional Medical Center. On the right of Guthrie is a signboard announcing the Lions Club upcoming White Cane Sale, Oct. 28.
