Jane M. Kronlage March 12, 1944-Nov. 6, 2017

     Jane M. Kronlage, 73, of Coggon, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a brief battle with cancer.

     Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello. Visitation continued from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday morning at Sacred Heart Church prior to funeral services.

     A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Prairieburg. Rev. Paul Baldwin officiated.

     Jane was born March 12, 1944; the daughter of George and Dorothy (Russell) Reinhardt of Mt. Vernon. She married Thomas J. Kronlage on Nov. 20, 1965. She graduated from the nursing program at Mt. Mercy College. Jane was a Registered Nurse for many years working in several of the local hospitals in the area. When Jane wasn’t working she was helping with various jobs on the family farm and enjoyed spending time with her five children and grandchildren.

     Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Thomas Kronlage; five children: Alexandria Lawson of Toledo, Ohio, Karen (Keith) Reynolds of Hudson, Iowa, Michael (Jennifer) Kronlage of Johnston, Iowa, Connie (Bryan) Eggleston of Center Point, Iowa, and Chad (Stephanie) Kronlage of Washington, Iowa; 11 grandchildren: Collin, Ryan, Alex, Cam, Tyler, Ashlyn, Justin, Ben, Bailey, Kelsie, and Lauren; mother-in-law, Mabel Kronlage of Monticello; brothers: Robert (Kathleen) Reinhardt of Lakeville, Minn., and David Reinhardt of Lisbon, Iowa; in-laws: Joyce (Lloyd) Welter of Monticello, Iowa, Janet (Roger) Fredericks of Salem, Ill., and Audrey (George) Bethell of Edgewood, Wash.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, father–in-law, Louis Kronlage, daughter, Kathryn Kronlage, and her brother, Ronald Reinhardt.
