Jane Joanne Nottberg November 3, 1941 – July 19, 2018

Jane Nottberg, age 76, a longtime resident of Loveland, Colorado died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Leon, Iowa to Arch Edwards and Anna Levsen, Jane attended high school in Monticello and then graduated from Grinnell College, majoring in Physics. After completing a graduate degree at Boston University in Math, and several years working for Kodak in Rochester, New York, she moved west to Colorado Springs. There she met her future husband Gus, after picking him up as a skiing hitchhiker on the Pikes Peak highway! The two were a perfect match with their love for the outdoors, and as owners of US Engineering Co. They took many trips around the country in their 1976 GMC motorhome and enjoyed attending GMC rallies. Jane loved wildflowers and photography, which she did during her many mountain hikes with Gus and her hiking group. She played golf and was a member of the Women’s Golf League. She was a devoted member of the Loveland P.E.O. and a dedicated supporter of education. Jane is survived by her husband Gus, sons Curtis (Linda) and John (Gail), daughter Janice (Peter), 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Carl. An open house will be held at Allnutt Funeral Home, 2100 N. Lincoln Avenue in Loveland on Friday, August 3, from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
