IBA scholarship

     Monticello High School senior Meredith Melchert (right) was honored as recipient of the Iowa Bankers Association’s Student Athlete Achievement Scholarship during the State Girls Basketball Tournament. She was selected based on scholastic standing, leadership skills, community involvement and athletic participation. She received a $1,000 scholarship to the college of her choice, presented by Kevin Funke, vice president of Citizens State Bank in Hopkinton.
