Edwyn Fear Sept. 15, 1937-Jan. 16, 2018

     Edwyn Fear, age 80, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at Heritage Care Center, Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.

     Funeral services will be held 1:30 Friday afternoon, Jan. 19, 2018 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, with interment in the Hopkinton Cemetery, with Military Honors. 

     Surviving is his sister Virginia Foster of Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janice Neybert.

     Edwyn Albert Fear was born Sept. 15, 1937 at Long Beach California. He was the son of Clay and Una Bacon, Fear. He received his education in the Hopkinton, Iowa Schools. Ed served in the United States Air Force for four years. He later enlisted in the United States Navy for 12 years. After his discharge from the Navy, Ed worked at the Iowa Men’s Reformatory in Anamosa for a brief time. He retired as a security officer for the United States Attorney’s Office in Cedar Rapids where he was employed for 27 years.
