District Court

     Michael David Range, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to driving while barred and operating motor vehicle without owner’s consent. Sentencing is set for Aug. 28.

     Halsey Lee Hunt, Monticello, pleaded not guilty to two counts of driving while barred. A jury trial is set for Aug. 21.

     Jaxon Patton Winchell, Council Bluffs, pleaded not guilty to driving while barred. A jury trial is set for Sept. 25.

     Nash Randall Brown, Anamosa, was arrested for driving while barred. A court date was set for July 11.

     Dana Lee Abbott, Anamosa, was arrested for possession of marijuana 1st offense and child endangerment. A court date was set for July 11.

     Trelain Allen Whiting, Havelock, N.C., pleaded not guilty to 3rd degree arson. A jury trial is set for Oct. 2.

     Dakota James Carpenter, Monticello, pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of 4th degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, and fined $315 plus court costs. Carpenter was also ordered to pay victim restitution.

     Brandon Jo Fort, Center Point, pleaded guilty to 2nd degree theft. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on supervised probation for two years. Fort was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $750 and victim restitution.

     Cody Norman Knepper, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to child endangerment. Judgment was deferred, and he was placed on unsupervised probation for one year. Knepper was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $625 plus court costs. The civil penalty was suspended. Knepper had a charge of domestic abuse assault-impeding air/blood flow, dismissed.

     Tyler Coddington, Fort Madison, pleaded not guilty to assault on persons engaged in certain occupations. A jury trial is set for Sept. 25.

     Courtney Michelle Laton, Cedar Rapids, pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 1st offense, possession of methamphetamine 1st offense, and possession of controlled substance (Alprazolam) 1st offense. A jury trial is set for Sept. 25.

     Steve Lynn Ransier, Marion, pleaded not guilty to driving while license denied/revoked. A jury trial is set for Sept. 25.

     Nicholas L. Sutton, Oshkosh, Wis., pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana 2nd offense. A jury trial is set for Sept. 25.

     Zane Austin Riedesel, Verona, Wis., was charged with possession of marijuana 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for July 18.

     Jamie Alen Boge, Anamosa, was cited for driving while license denied/revoked. A court date is set for July 18.

     Jacob Scott Miller, Anamosa, pleaded guilty to OWI 2nd offense. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, and fined $1,875 plus court costs.

     Christopher David Decker, Monticello, was charged with OWI 1st offense. A preliminary hearing is set for July 18.
