Couple plan May wedding

     Douglas and Julia Bean of Scotch Grove and Michele (Larry) Hearn of Dumont are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Bean to Michael Meyer of Des Moines.

     Michael is the son of Kent and Sandy Powgnas of Norwalk and Jeff Meyer of Des Moines.

     Samantha is a 2008 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and a graduate of Kaplan University with a degree in Nursing. She is employed by the Polk County Jail.

     Michael is currently employed as an Inventory Supervisor at Casey’s General Stores Corporate Office.

     A May 13, 2017 wedding is planned at Chisel Point Barn at The Bean Farm, Scotch Grove.
