Coalition purse sale, June 17 at LCC

     The Jones County Safe and Healthy Youth Coalition’s Sixth Annual Purse and Accessory Fundraiser Sale will be held at the Lawrence Community Center this year on Saturday, June 17, from 9-11 a.m. This is a new location because the Coalition staff moved to a smaller office last fall, and there is not enough space for the big sale there.

     There have been lots of donations of gently used, new, and like-new purses donated, including name brands such as Coach and Fossil.

     A record amount of beautiful jewelry, including some brand new, has also been donated. There is also a wide assortment of scarves, belts, hats, sunglasses, and other items.

     Donations can still be dropped off at the Coalition/ASAC office at 110 S. Williams St. in Anamosa until the day before the sale, or dropped off at Michael’s Clothing in Monticello until June 15.

     During the sale, all purses will be $10 each, first come first served. Accessories will mostly be $5 each or groups for $5.

     Proceeds go towards the work of the Coalition to reduce youth substance use in Jones County.
