Paint 'N Palette Club

     Paint ‘N Palette Art Club met on Dec. 14 to acknowledge their year-end proficient of attaining the Art Club’s objectives:

     • Obtain more members in 2016 and plan to add more in 2017 within a 100-mile radius

     • Success of the art show at the log cabin building at Grant Wood Day

     • Maintaining to improve building for exhibition of paintings

     • Express thanks to Wilbur and Evie Evarts for the donation of a telescoping flagpole kit

     • Including former students at attended Grant Wood School at Grant Wood Day

     • Offered a painting class in 2016 and discussed another in 2017

     • Discussion of planning future events to attract more members

     • Comments concerning spirit of cooperation of Art Club members by President Larry Evans

     All of those interested in sketching, painting, or just wishing to observe are invited to join the spirit of camaraderie of the next meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 1-3 p.m. in the basement of the USDA building in Anamosa on Chamber Dr.
