Cedar Rapids is host for Camp Courageous Triathlon

     Adam Kassem of Cedar Rapids and Joanna Hall of Coralville were the male and female winners of the Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon, held Sunday, Aug. 6 at the Prairie Park Fishery in Cedar Rapids.

     The event, formerly held at Camp Courageous and Central Park in Jones County, is a benefit for the camp.

     Kassem completed the 500-yard swim in 9:18, the 15.5-mile bicycle ride in 37:22, and the 3.4-mile run in 20:00 for a  total time of 1:07:50.26.

     Hall’s times were 9:54 for the swim, 39:47 for bike, and 22:11 for the 5K for a final time of 1:13:09.51.
