Awards, trips are offered for 4-H members
Recognition awards, and opportunities to represent Iowa in upcoming conferences on the state and national levels, are available to 4-H members.
Members can use these opportunities to get more involved in 4-H and expand their horizons, be recognized and have some fun in the process.
The conference opportunities include:
• National 4-H Conference (for grades 9-11).
• National 4-H Congress (grades 10-11).
• State 4-H Council (grades 10-11).
• Iowa 4-H Safety and Education in Shooting Sports (SESS) Ambassador (grades 9-11).
• State 4-H Project Awards (grades 9-12).
If you would like to apply, information is available at www.extension.iastate.edu/4h/recognition-opportunities. The state selection process for the above opportunities will involve:
• Submitting an online application including 5 to 6 short answer questions.
• Gathering and putting together up to two pages of support material.
• An interview at the Iowa State University Campus in Ames.
The online application deadline is 11:59 p.m., Feb. 1, 2018.
