Awards banquet wraps up state tournament season

GIRLS BASKETBALL

     A season that saw the Monticello High School girls basketball team reach the State Class 3A Tournament, and win a game there, was celebrated during the team’s annual awards banquet Friday, April 13 at the Monticello Golf Club.

     The Panthers went 20-6 under head coach Donnie Kremer, and advanced to State for the first time since 2011, and the fourth time in the past 12 seasons. Monticello was 13-4 in River Valley Conference play.
