Scotch Grove Challengers

     The meeting of the Scotch Grove Challengers was held at the Monticello Renaissance Center in Monticello Nov. 4, 2018 at 6 p.m.

     President Katie Roher called the meeting to order. Members answered the roll call topic: Your Favorite Thanksgiving Food. Brady Hayen led the Pledge of Allegiance. There was no Secretary’s report or Treasurer’s report.

     Members were reminded to re-enroll in 4H by Dec. 30 and to cash their Fair Premium checks as soon as possible. 4H Awards Day was held today. Leaders will handout awards at the December meeting. Members were encouraged to attend the Club Officers training Nov. 12. All members can attend as it is a great learning experience.

     New business: Our club annual party will be held in January at the Youth Development Center at 5 p.m. Leader Kim McQuillen will have signup sheets for Potluck items will be at tour next meeting.

     A suggestion for Community Service Project for our club was to adopt a local family for Christmas and a Marshalltown family that were affected by the recent tornado. Gavin Cooper moved to adopt a local family and a Marshalltown family for Christmas service project. Will Wolken seconded. Motion carried.

     Tom Dirks made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Royce Kiburz. Royce Kiburz led the Pledge to the 4-H Flag. The meeting ended at 6:27 p.m.
