Prairie Hill

     The regular meeting of the Prairie Hill 4-H Club was held at the Citizens State Bank Youth Development Center on June 19, 2017.

     The meeting was called to order by Caleb Hogan at 6:15 p.m. The Pledge to the American Flag was led by Claire Hogan. Roll call was “Fun things,” and was answered by 23 members. Six visitors were present.

     Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion to approve the minutes was given by Landon Orcutt, seconded by Lake Schnoor. The treasurer’s report was given. Motion to approve the treasurer’s report was made by Olivia Besler, seconded by Lake Schnoor. Outstanding bills were $40 for pie and $56 for boxed book covers.

     Old business included a pre-meeting at 5:30 to ask about the fair, May 15 livestock deadline, final FSQA training June 15, ziplining and rock climbing at Pictured Rocks, and Leah Koehler taking care of the flower pot for the fair.

     New business included inducting Dalton Hampson and Carter Martin as new members of the club, wedding cleanup June 24 at 10:30 p.m., many, many deadlines, and the 4-H food stand.

     Giving presentations were Eian and Kole Weber, and Jabezz Husmann. Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Bella Mullen, seconded by Lake Schnoor. The Pledge to the 4-H Flag was led by Valerie Cupples.

Oxford Livewires

     The Oxford Livewires 4-H Club meeting was held on June 25, 2017. President Ethan Kaftan called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Jared Crock. Roll call was “What do you like most about 4-H?” It was answered by 14 members. Two leaders and 12 guests were also present.

     The secretary’s report was given by Callie Feuss. Cael Eganhouse made a motion to approve the secretary’s report and Ty Jensen seconded the motion. The treasurer’s report was given by Payton Lasack. Jared Crock made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Logan Bicknese seconded the motion. A bill was presented for pies for the fair. Ty Jensen made a motion to pay the bill and Lauren Eganhouse seconded the motion.

     In old business, Logan Bicknese and Payton Lasack reported on the club tour. In new business, shifts were set up for the July 4 lemonade stand. Shifts were also set up for the food stand at the fair. Members need to wear their 4-H shirts and a hat. Fair passes, fair books, and project paperwork will be passed out soon.

     Cael Eganhouse made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Ty Jensen seconded the motion. The 4-H pledge was led by Cael Eganhouse. Reece Vacek gave a presentation on “Silkie Chickens.” Ty Jensen gave a presentation called “DIY Flubber.” Hosts of the meeting were Cael and Lauren Eganhouse and Brayden Balicheck.
