A two-vehicle accident took place on Dec. 2 at 10:39 p.m. on 102nd Street. One driver, Christian Marek, 18, of Anamosa was driving a 2005 Acura. He was uninjured. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $10,000. The citation states that Marek was “driving too fast for (road) conditions.” Roads were snow-covered. The other driver, Clifford Brett Baker, 40, of Anamosa was driving a 2011 Ford Edge. He was also uninjured. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $10,000 as well. A passenger, 14-year-old Jaxon Mitchell of Central City, sustained minor injuries.
