Mya* couldn’t stop getting into physical fights with her fourth-grade classmates.
She was constantly frustrated with her school work. She’d run out of her classroom, and sometimes, even out of the building. She had recently settled in the United States with her family as a refugee, and she didn’t know how to process her experiences. Her complex emotions manifested as anger.
